Bluetooth ID tag
A small Bluetooth Low Energy tag that broadcasts an ID to a nearby tracker. Stick or screw it to a tool, a piece of equipment or a trailer and the tracker in the area knows what is there. It has no GPS and no SIM, so it never needs charging, and it is sealed to IP67.
Each tag broadcasts a unique ID over Bluetooth LE. A tracker that reads it knows which tool, container or person is within range, and sends that back with the position.
A non-replaceable 600 mAh cell gives 8+ years at the default 5 s interval, and 10+ years at 10 s. A faster interval shortens it: 4+ years at 3 s.
IP67 and 18 g. It takes weather, dust and a wash-down, and mounts with two screw holes, a strap or tape.
Transmit power, broadcast interval and ID type are configurable with Teltonika's mobile app. It supports the iBeacon and Eddystone protocols as well as Teltonika's own.
Newer revisions of the hardware can report magnetic field status, for a simple open-and-closed signal.
A beacon does nothing on its own. It has no GPS and no mobile connection, so it needs a Bluetooth-capable tracker, either in the vehicle or on the site, to hear it and report. The range is up to 80 m in open air, and the battery is not replaceable, so when it is spent the tag is replaced.

No. It has no GPS. It shows where a tracker last heard it, so the position comes from the tracker that is in range.
No. The cell is not replaceable, which is how the case stays sealed to IP67. At the default interval it lasts about 8 years or more, and then the tag is replaced.
Up to 80 m. Metal, walls and a crowded yard all shorten it, so we plan the tracker's position around where the tags will be.
A Bluetooth LE-capable tracker. Tell us what you need to identify and we will confirm which tracker and tag combination suits before we quote.
Tell us what the asset is and where it sits. If something else fits better we will say so.
No contracts. Cancel any time and keep the hardware. If you are not happy in the first 30 days, we buy it back.
