How iTrackGPS M2M Solutions handles the personal information you give us through itrackgps.com.
The person in charge of protecting personal information at iTrackGPS is Eddy Stevens, co-founder. You can reach him about anything in this policy:
Quote and call-back forms. Your first name, last name, phone number and fleet size, so we can call you back about GPS tracking and put together a quote.
Website chat. The messages you type, so the chat can answer your questions. If you ask for a call back, the chat also collects your name, phone number, fleet size, when you'd like us to call, and a short summary of what you're looking for, so we can call you back. We keep a copy of chat conversations, including the page you were on, so we can follow up and improve the chat's answers. They are not linked to your IP address.
Payment card update page. Existing customers can update the card on their account using a secure form provided by Zoho. Card details go directly to Zoho and are not stored on our website.
Technical information. Like most websites, our web host automatically records standard technical information such as IP addresses. To prevent abuse, the chat keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, which can't be read back into the original, for no longer than about an hour.
We only use your information to respond to you, give you a quote, and serve you if you become a customer. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.
Replies in the website chat are written by an AI system, not a person. They can be wrong, so please confirm anything important with us. Please don't enter sensitive information in the chat, such as payment card numbers, health information or passwords.
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, and only as needed for the purposes above:
Some of these providers process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and authorities.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The chat uses one cookie to keep your conversation together while you're on the site. It is deleted when you close your browser.
Copies of chat conversations are kept on our web host for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically. Contact details you send us are kept for as long as we need them to respond to you, and, if you become a customer, to provide service and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. You can also ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we're not required to keep it. Email info@itrackgps.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
