The problem

Construction is the hardest case: mixed vehicles and equipment, many simultaneous sites, crews moving between them mid-day, and job costing that depends on somebody remembering to write it down. The gap between the timesheet and reality is where construction margin quietly disappears, and it compounds across every active site.

What you get

Site time capture

Automatic arrival and departure per site for every vehicle and machine, feeding job cost directly.

Mixed fleet in one view

Pickups, dump trucks, excavators and unpowered assets on the same map and the same reports.

Driver and operator ID

Fob-in and fob-out ties labour to the right job code and the right machine.

After-hours movement alerts

Sites are often unattended overnight and on weekends, which is exactly when nobody is watching.

Immobilizer on the heavy iron

YellowGuard locks the machine down at the end of the shift so it is still there Monday.

Equipment utilization per site

Which machines are earning on which job, and which are parked.

What changes

In our experience there is no fixed average, but realistically an hour of payroll, a couple of gallons of fuel and one extra service call is about $200 to $300 a month for most industries. That is roughly 5 to 10 times the monthly cost, and it starts immediately rather than in six months.

Pricing

No contract, ever

No contracts. Billing is month to month. Cancel any time with no penalty. The customer keeps the hardware. If we stop earning it, you fire us.

30 days to change your mind

30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not fully satisfied in the first 30 days, we buy it back, no questions asked.

The hardware is yours

Onsite installation and a lifetime hardware replacement warranty are included. The hardware belongs to the customer.

Priced to what you actually need

A trailer you just need to confirm is still there does not cost the same as a truck running full fleet management. We quote the tier that fits, and volume discounts available at 10 or more vehicles.

We do not buy out existing contracts with other providers.

Common questions

Does this replace timesheets?

It replaces the guesswork in them. Site arrival and departure become automatic, and in our experience most contractors use that to validate submitted hours rather than to get rid of the timesheet.

How many sites can I geofence?

There is no practical limit. Contractors routinely run dozens of active site geofences at once.

Can you put GPS trackers on excavators, loaders and other heavy equipment?

Yes. Heavy equipment always gets a hardwired unit, installed by our own mobile technicians and hidden out of sight. Add YellowGuard and the machine gets a starter-disable as well: it will not start without the electronic fob paired to that machine, even with the right key.

Can I see trucks, trailers and equipment on the same map?

Yes. Vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers and other assets all appear on one map, on a computer or the smartphone app, and in the same reports.

How do you track a trailer or generator with no power?

With a battery-powered asset unit that needs no wiring. It reports only occasionally, for example only when it moves, which is what makes the battery last. It suits anything where the question is simply whether it is still where you left it.

Can I tell how long a truck was at a job site?

Yes. Put a geofence around the site and every arrival and departure is recorded, so the reports show how long each vehicle and machine was there.

Can I get an alert if equipment moves after hours?

Yes. You choose the alerts, such as an engine starting outside working hours or a machine leaving a site geofence, and they arrive on your phone right away.

Can I tell who was operating a truck or machine?

Yes. With driver ID, operators fob in and fob out, so there is a record of who was driving or operating, when and where.

How often does the location update?

Active vehicles update as often as every 15 seconds. Heavy equipment on YellowGuard reports every 2 to 5 minutes while running, and checks in once or twice a day while parked to confirm it has not moved.

How long does installation take?

A hardwired install on a truck or machine takes about 25 to 30 minutes. In Ontario, installs are normally booked within a day or two, and elsewhere in Canada we arrange mobile technicians locally. Heavy equipment is always hardwired, never a plug-in unit.

Does GPS tracking work in both Canada and the US?

Yes. The trackers work in both Canada and the United States.

What happens on a site with no cell coverage?

The unit stores its location data and sends it once coverage returns, so the history is not lost.

Is this about watching my crew all day?

No. It works best as exception reporting: you get an alert when something is genuinely wrong, rather than watching a map. The point is that a four-hour job took about four hours, not to count anyone's breaks.

Do you actually know construction?

It is the industry we know best, including the nuances of why jobs run over. That matters more than the hardware.

Book a five-minute call

We will tell you straight whether we can help. If we cannot, we will say so and thank you for your time.

No contracts. Cancel any time and keep the hardware. If you are not happy in the first 30 days, we buy it back.
