Plug-in OBD-II tracker

Teltonika FMM00A

A plug-in LTE Cat M1 tracker that fits the OBD-II port under the dash. No tools, no wiring and no appointment: it is plugged in and it starts reporting. It reads data from the vehicle as well as its position, which makes it the quick choice for light vehicles.

What it does

Plug in and it tracks

It connects to the standard OBD-II port, powers itself from the vehicle and reports straight away. Nobody has to strip trim or splice a wire.

Reads vehicle data

Pulls standard OBD-II parameters from the vehicle's computer over K-Line and CAN bus. What it can read depends on the vehicle model, and fuel monitoring in particular varies by vehicle.

Detects crashes and rough driving

A built-in accelerometer detects crashes, towing, harsh driving and excessive idling, and records trips.

Reads Bluetooth sensors

Bluetooth 4.0 LE supports beacon labels and temperature, humidity, magnetic and movement sensors, so a sensor placed in the vehicle can report through the unit.

Updated without a site visit

Firmware and configuration update over the air, so a change across the fleet does not mean touching every unit.

Where it is suited

The OBD-II port is easy to reach, which is also what makes this unit easy to unplug. It is the right tool for light vehicles where speed of setup matters most and tamper resistance matters less, such as rentals, dealer stock and pool cars. For a vehicle that needs to resist removal, a hardwired unit is the better choice. The case is IP41, so it belongs inside the cab.

Common questions

How long does it take to install?

Seconds. It plugs into the OBD-II port. Nobody needs to open the dash.

Can someone unplug it?

Yes, and it will raise an unplug alert when they do. That is the trade-off of a plug-in unit. If the vehicle has to resist tampering, we fit a hardwired tracker instead.

Will it work in every vehicle?

It works with vehicles that have a standard OBD-II port, which covers most light vehicles. The data it can read, fuel in particular, depends on the vehicle model. Tell us what you drive and we will confirm.

Is it Cat M1 only?

Yes. It is an LTE Cat M1 unit with no 2G fallback, so it relies on LTE-M coverage where the vehicle operates.

Not sure this is the right unit?

Tell us what the asset is and where it sits. If something else fits better we will say so.

No contracts. Cancel any time and keep the hardware. If you are not happy in the first 30 days, we buy it back.
